Gravel

Crushed stone differs from Gravel in a few ways but primarily due to what its used for.

By definition, crushed stone is “construction aggregate,” or in other words used primarily for construction purposes. Basically, stone is mined and then crushed down into varying sizes to be used for a wide variety of work and jobs.

We have access to a great variety of crushed stone. Here is a list of just some of the popular sizes available from Manny Topsoil and Stone. Remember if you don’t see exactly what you’re looking for, simply call or email us – we’d be happy to get you what you want!

  • #1a – 1/8 – 1/4 inch
  • #1 – 3/8 – 9/16 inch
  • #2 – 9/16 – 1 1/4 inch
  • #3 – 1 1/2 – 2 1/4 inch
  • Crusher Run – Mix of #1 & #2

Sands

Sand is used in many projects and jobs required for things like septics, general backfill, pipe bedding, cable bedding, and much more.

Some more examples of the types of sand we have include:

  • mason sand
  • road sand
  • pool sand
  • concrete sand
  • asphalt sand
  • clean sand
  • septic sand
  • bankrun sand
  • and general fill (clay and sand mixture)

Stone

In addition to construction grade stone and sand – we also offer a wide range of landscaping gravel and stone to be used for all sorts of projects!

Have a pond or want to put one in your yard? Consider using riprap (also known as shot rock, or rubble) to help give it a fresh distinct look while also protecting water erosion.

We also have a great selection of medium – heavy stone, cobblestone, and gravel to mix and include in your landscaping to give it that extra special touch to compliment any garden or space!

How much will I need?

We get this question a lot and are glad people ask! Calculating how much topsoil is needed requires an understanding of how material is ordered in bulk, as well as properly measuring and estimated the work space. Luckily we have a helpful tool to estimate how much you'll need!
